Welcome to Beverley District High School

 

As Principal of Beverley District High School since July 2020, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant and inclusive school community.

Established in 1873, Beverley DHS is an Independent Public School with a proud history of providing quality education from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Nestled in beautiful surroundings featuring historic buildings, open spaces, and a nature playground, our school offers a relaxed yet engaging environment where students are supported to grow, explore, and thrive.

In 2025, we are proud to be educating 193 students, guided by our shared moral purpose:

This belief is at the heart of everything we do, as we continuously strive for improvement and growth for every learner.

A Connected K–12 School
Our Early Childhood Centre provides a nurturing introduction to school, with purpose-built facilities, play-based learning, and strong ties to the Beverley Early Years Group and Playgroup.

From Primary through to Secondary, our students benefit from small class sizes, dedicated staff, and personalised teaching. We offer a range of academic and support programs, including:

  • Literacy Intervention (MultiLit)

  • Chaplaincy and pastoral care

  • Breakfast Club and Drumbeat

  • Extension programs such as PEAC and the School of Instrumental Music

  • Vocational Education and Training (VET), Workplace Learning, and Emergency Services Cadets

  • Senior school pathways via School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE)

Innovation and Positive Behaviour
We embrace technology through our One-to-One Student Laptop Program and integration of 21st-century skills across all learning areas. Our SPARK values—Successful, Prepared, Aspiring, Respectful, and Kind—guide behaviour and promote a positive school culture.

Community and Connection
Strong partnerships with families and the wider community are the cornerstone of our success. We believe that education is most powerful when it's a shared journey, and we warmly welcome new families to our school.
